Communication will be the key for the Nebraska offense at Oregon and the Huskers pumped up the volume in practice this week to get ready for the noise level. Offensive coordinator Danny Langsdorf spent nine years on Mike Riley’s staff at Oregon State and says Autzen Stadium rivals the loudest venues in the Big Ten.
“Autzen is top five of the places I have been and is very disruptive”, said Langsdorf. “They don’t have a huge stadium but it is really a rowdy crowd. We have even had trouble hearing on the phones before between the box and the field.”
Freshman receiver JD Spielman says the Huskers face a tough challenge.
“Oregon has a great team and we have a lot of young players on offense who will be playing in their first away game”, said Spielman. “It is going to be loud and we are going to have to overcome the atmosphere. It is really going to show us who we are if we are able to come into Oregon and beat them on their home field.”
