The Nebraska offense will be in search of more consistency in this week’s game against Northern Illinois. Offensive coordinator Danny Langsdorf says despite scoring 35 points in a loss at Oregon the offense did not play very well.
“Third down efficiency was really bad”, said Langsdorf. “We did not complete enough balls and we dropped some balls. We had a critical false start and we were sloppy. We scored a lot of points but we can be better than that.”
Tanner Lee had four interceptions in the game and Langsdorf says the Huskers need to get better in pass protection. A bright spot early has been the run game. The Huskers are averaging 167 yards per game and five yards per carry.
“It is encouraging if we can keep that going”, added Langsdorf. “But we are still a little inconsistent.”
