Omaha Madonna Rehab Hospital adding specialty care beds

September 25, 2017 By Karla James

Madonna Rehabilitation Hospital opened the doors at their new Omaha campus about one year ago and already the demand for services has outgrown their capabilities. President and CEO Paul Dongilli says the need for specialty care is at an all-time high so they added more beds to help serve the most complex of medical cases.

Dongilli says, “We’ve had patients admitted from 43 different hospitals from eleven states and the 16 additional beds will get us an opportunity to serve all the patients that are referred to us.”

Dongilli says they have been full since they transferred the hospital from the Bellevue location to the new Omaha campus and were unable to help all the patients that were referred to them.

The 16 additional specialty beds at the facility brings the total number of 48 at their Omaha facility.
