The Omaha Fugitive Task Force has caught an escapee from the Community Correctional Center in Omaha.
Nicholas Hupp walked away from the CCC-Omaha on September 13th. He was arrested Tuesday in the area of 96th and Q Streets in Omaha.
Task Force officials say when Hupp was located, he had a handgun and suspected methamphetamine.
The day after he reportedly walked away from the Correctional Center, officers say he was driving a car that struck a police cruiser the day after he went missing.
Task Force officers also arrested Jessica Ethen on an outstanding felony warrant for Accessory to a Felony related to the case.
Hupp was booked on two outstanding felony arrest warrants, possession of a handgun by a prohibited person, possession of a stolen firearm, and possession of a controlled substance – methamphetamine. Hupp’s arrest warrants were for Escape and Flight to Avoid Arrest. All of Hupp’s charges are felonies.
