The Nebraska offense will need a balanced effort against a highly regarded Wisconsin defense and it begins with a running game that is averaging 181 yards in two Big Ten victories. With Tre Bryant and Mikale Wilbon nursing injuries the Huskers have relied upon Devine Ozigbo and the junior has responded by topping the 100-yard mark in wins over Rutgers and Illinois.
“We are approaching the run game just like we do with every team”, said Ozigbo. “We figure out what their defense is like and what runs can hit some of their weak spots or the spots they leave open.”
Wisconsin opened Big Ten play with a win over Northwestern and now looks to grab a key early road win.
“Lincoln, Nebraska is going to be one of the hardest places to play in the entire nation”, said Wisconsin linebacker Garrett Dooley. “They are sold out for every single game and it is going to be loud. We have to make sure that communication wise we are all on the same page and there is no pre-snap miscommunication.”
