The Nebraska State Patrol has made an arrested related to drug use at the State Penitentiary in Lincoln.
Investigators say Jami Cutshall faces charges of unauthorized communications with a committed offender, unlawful acts by a corrections employee, and sex abuse of an inmate or parolee.
The arrest comes after an investigation into suspected K2 incidents last week involving more than a dozen inmates.
The Department of Correctional Services reports Cutshall has been a unit caseworker at the Nebraska State Penitentiary since July 2015.
She has been suspended without pay.
The discovery of K2, which is a synthetic cannabinoid, caused the prison to go under modified operations twice last week. That involved cancelling visits for inmates.
