University of Nebraska – Omaha holding 7th Annual Paranormal Summit

October 9, 2017 By Karla James

If you want to learn more about things that go bump in the night, the University of Nebraska – Omaha Paranormal Society is holding their 7th Annual Summit this Friday, October 13th.  Faculty advisor Dave Pares is an adjunct professor of Geography and Meteorology and says this will be a very educational experience for believers and doubters both.

Pares says, “This is for people who want to understand a little bit more about what is paranormal. Our briefings that we give are on our latest cases over the last year which is extremely interesting.  We will also go over all the new equipment and how it works.”

Those attending will get some hands-on use of that equipment and go on an active ghost hunt on the UNO campus at the close of the summit.

Pares says this event is open to the public. The Paranormal Society is also open for public membership.  He says the purpose of the group is to look at the logical, scientific and rational explanations of the paranormal phenomenon but we like to have fun and are open to exploring all kinds of evidence.”

The summit starts at 6 p.m. in the CPACS building on campus. All proceeds will be donated to the American Red Cross for hurricane relief efforts.
