Nebraska takes B1G volleyball lead to Wisconsin

October 11, 2017 By Todd Kimm

Kelly Hunter

Nebraska’s fast start in the Big Ten volleyball race is not a surprise to senior setter Kelly Hunter. Despite losing several key players from last year’s Big Ten title squad the fourth ranked Huskers have raced out to a 6-0 record heading into tonight’s contest at 11th ranked Wisconsin.

“We knew we were going to surprise people”, said Hunter. “Everyone was talking about it being a rebuilding year and we graduated four seniors but for us we took that as a challenge and we want to be just as good as last year.”

These teams met 11 days ago in Lincoln sand the Huskers rallied from two sets down to get the win. The Badgers are 2-4 in the Big Ten.
