A routine inspection at the Omaha train station resulted in the seizure of 50 pounds of marijuana with an estimated street value of $100,000.
The Nebraska State Patrol says investigators were conducting routine operations at the train station Friday morning when they noticed two suspicious bags in the cargo area of a passenger train. Both smelled of marijuana. Nobody on the train claimed the bags. Investigators opened one of them and found large bundles of marijuana.
NSP reports officers arrested 40-year-old Sio Chong Leong and charged him with various felonies after he was identified as the owner of the two bags. Leong has no known address.
Leong has been jailed in Douglas County.
