The Nebraska defense has prepared to face two quarterbacks in this week’s game at Purdue. David Blough and Elijah Sindelar have split time in the Boilermakers 3-4 start to the season.
“The two quarterback system doesn’t seem to change the play selection”, said Husker defensive coordinator Bob Diaco. “The way they operate does not get altered too much based on one person or the next.”
Purdue is averaging less than 16 points per game in Big Ten action and has only converted on 12 of 51 third down opportunities in conference play but Diaco says the Boilermakers are difficult to prepare for under first year coach Jeff Brohm.
“It is a lot of personnel groupings and a lot of formations and window dressing”, added Diaco. “It is a lot to prepare for and can be a real problem.”
