State conservation officials want the public’s help in finding out who shot an elk cow and her calf in a field in north-east Nebraska.
The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission reports the cow and calf were shot and left in a field northwest of Gross in Boyd County sometime either October 25th or 26th.
Conservation officers found the calf dead and the cow fatally sounded the morning of October 26th. Conservation officers euthanized the cow.
