Ball handling will have added importance this week as the Nebraska offense prepares for Saturday’s game at Minnesota. The forecast calls for a good chance of rain and a high in the 30s and offensive coordinator Danny Langsdorf says they will work with wet footballs to get ready.
“We will take some stuff outside in the cold and try to get ready for the elements”, said Langsdorf. “Having a good mindset about it and making sure we are snapping and throwing with a wet ball is important.”
Husker quarterback Tanner Lee says limiting mistakes becomes even more important in bad weather.
“I think it just puts a bigger emphasis on completeting the ball and making accurate throws”, said Lee. “We have played in some cold games this year that will prepare us for what we are going to see in Minnesota so it will be fun.”
