This has not been the season anyone associated with Nebraska football was hoping for but quarterback Tanner Lee says there is still plenty to play for as the Huskers prepare to visit Minnesota. At 4-5, the Huskers need to win two of its final three games to become bowl eligible.
“Just playing well for each other and playing well for our coaches motivates me more than anything”, said Lee. “Taking pride in that is plenty to play for.”
The Husker offense has prepared for chilly conditions this week with the forecast calling for a temperature in the mid 30s at kickoff. Nebraska coach Mike Riley says the wind will be more of a factor than the temperature.
“If there is not a wind that is more than 10 miles an hour it will be good weather for football”, said Riley. “I have played in that climate a lot and it is always about the wind.”
The Gophers are also 4-5 and will be out to snap a two game losing skid. Kickoff in the Twin Cities is 11:00a.m. The game will be carried by Fox Sports One.
