Huskers prepare for Penn State noise

November 15, 2017 By Todd Kimm

Patrick O’Brien

Patrick O’Brien’s first collegiate start at quarterback could be in front over more than 106 thousand hostile fans in Beaver Stadium. O’Brien relieved Tanner Lee in the second half of a loss at Minnesota and Lee has not practiced this week as he goes through concussion protocol heading into Saturday’s game at Penn State.

“They are going to be loud and I know a lot about them because my dad is from Philadelphia”, said O’Brien. “I have been there a few times and I know what to expect. At the end of the day it is just football so just go out there and play”.

Nebraska offensive coordinator Danny Langsdorf says the noise at Beaver Stadium will be a factor and it is something they are preparing for.

“It is a great, electric crowd and they really get into It”, said Langsdorf. “Noise will definitely be a factor and it is something you have got to practice for. We have had noise all week and have been working the silent counts. It will be a good challenge.”
