Nebraska quarterback Tanner Lee wants to send the seniors out on a winning note. The Huskers close a disappointing season with a Black Friday game at home against Iowa. The Huskers are 4-7 after a 56-44 loss at Penn State and will miss a bowl game for just the third time since 1969.
“It is our last opportunity to play a game with this team and we don’t want to short change that in any way”, said Lee. “We are going to prepare as hard as we can to get and win and end on a high note. Especially for the seniors.”
Iowa has won the last two games in the series and Husker offensive coordinator Danny Langsdorf says the Hawkeyes have dominated physically.
“They will hit you in the mouth in that first play of the game and if you are not ready for it they can send you back a little bit”, said Langsdorf. “You have to match that from the beginning of the game.”
Iowa is 6-5 after a 24-15 loss to Purdue.
