Nebraska looks to end a disappointing season on a winning not as the Huskers host Iowa. At 4-7, the Huskers will miss a bowl game for just the third time since 1969 and it also may be the final game as head coach for Mike Riley. Nebraska will be playing for pride and Riley believes his team has plenty of it.
“When you were a kid and they rolled the ball out and you picked it up you wanted to win”, said Riley. “But you have to get ready to do that. In college football as competitive as it is if you want to beat Iowa you have to be mentally and physically ready to do that.”
Junior quarterback Tanner Lee says it is also a chance to send the seniors out with a big win.
“It is our last opportunity to play a game with this team”, said Lee. “We want to end on a high note, especially for the seniors.”
Kickoff in Memorial Stadium is 3:00p.m. The game will be carried by Fox Sports One.
