If Scott Frost does become the new football coach at Nebraska it won’t be because he is dissatisfied with his current job. The former Husker standout has led Central Florida to a 12-0 record and the Knights play Memphis on Saturday in the American Athletic Conference championship game.
Frost has turned around a program that finished 0-12 two years ago and now finds itself on the verge of qualifying for a New Years Six bowl.
“All the reasons that I thought I wanted this job at UCF when I got here I realized that those things were even better than I expected”, said Frost. “This place is unbelievable. This campus is growing. It is a beautiful city and there is talent all over down here.”
Frost sidestepped a question during Monday’s AAC teleconference when he was asked if he would be returning to UCF next season.
“All I want to talk about is this football team”, added Frost. “I have said this a bunch of times but these guys have given me everything I have asked of them and they have bled and sweat for me. My focus is on this team.”
