Nebraska Organ Recovery is remembering those who gave the gift of life throughout the year by partnering with several hospitals for holiday open houses this holiday season. Tom Neal is the Public Relations Coordinator for Nebraska Organ Recovery and the holiday is a time for giving and saying thank you to families of donors and a chance for recipients to show their thanks as well.
Neal says, “To reach out and celebrate the gift of life through organ and tissue donation. We are inviting folks who are donor families, could be recipients of organ or tissue transplants. It could be caregivers, could be family members and could be just folks who have a passion for donation. This is just to say come out for the holidays and lets celebrate the loved ones who have passed that have given such an amazing gift through organ and tissue donation.”
Guests will have the opportunity to decorate an ornament which will be placed on a special donor remembrance tree at each event and refreshments will be served.
The event dates and locations are:
