Starting on May 1, 2018, Air Canada will begin daily nonstop service between Eppley Airfield in Omaha and Toronto Pearson International Airport. This is Eppley’s first international destination.
Steve McCoy is Eppley’s Airline Affairs Manager and says while they are very pleased that Air Canada selected Omaha as their nonstop service to Toronto, those that will really benefit are the customer’s Eppley serves.
McCoy says, “It is not about Eppley. It is about the community and the opportunities it provides. It is about business and leisure travelers and giving them the opportunity not only to get to Toronto but to connect into Air Canada’s network from there.”
McCoy says Eppley already provides a number of services associated with international airports that includes customs and border protections. With this first international destination, inbound passengers from Toronto will clear immigration, customs and agriculture inspections in Toronto prior to boarding for departure to Omaha. McCoy says this is part of the U.S. Customs and Border Protection Preclearance program.
Flights from Toronto to Omaha depart at 2:30 p.m. and arrive at 4:00 pm. Flights from Omaha to Toronto depart at 4:30 p.m. and will arrive at 7:50 p.m. but the schedule is subject to change. Flights are available for purchase now through Air Canada’s website.
