Nebraska plays top ranked Penn State in the NCAA volleyball Final Four in Kansas City. The Huskers are 30-4 and swept the Nittany Lions in State College to open the Big Ten race.
“It is one of the most exciting rivalries in college volleyball and they are a lot of fun to play”, said Nebraska coach John Cook. “Everybody has been chasing Penn State with what they have done over the last 10 years and they set a really high bar. We are excited to play them.”
The loss to the Huskers was Penn State’s only blemish in a 33-1 season record.
The Huskers are making their 14th trip to the NCAA Semifinals, the second-most in NCAA history. Nebraska also ranks second in NCAA Division I history in NCAA Tournament wins (106) and winning percentage (.774), and the Huskers are third in NCAA Tournament appearances (36) and national titles (4).
Stanford and Florida collide in the other semifinal.
