Scott Frost focused on current roster as early signing period begins

December 20, 2017 By Todd Kimm

Scott Frost

Nebraska football coach Scott Frost expects the Huskers to eventually sign a recruiting class of more than 20 players when the February signing period is over. Frost has been pulling double duty as he gets Central Florida ready for the Peach Bowl and starts put together his first Nebraska recruiting class with today’s early signing date.

“I think we have good pieces on the team in Lincoln and I think they had more talent on the team than the record indicates”, said Frost. “We are excited to get to work with the guys already on campus but adding talent certainly helps.”

Frost likes the early signing period even though he says the job change made things even more hectic.

Two areas of need for the Huskers were receiver and defensive back.

“Those are a couple of positions where the University of Nebraska is way down on numbers”, added Frost. “There’s just not enough guys at those positions.”
