The wheel man in a Bancroft bank robbery has pleaded guilty and will be sentenced next year.
The United States Attorney’s Office reports 55-year-old Lenn Zuhlke of Bancroft entered his guilty plea in front of Federal District Judge Laurie Smith Camp.
Zuhlke was the driver in a failed robbery of the First Bank of Bancroft April 20th.
Zuhlke drove Jeffrey Bonneau to pick up an ATV which he drove to the front of the bank. Bonneau, clad in camouflage with a dark motorcycle helmet on, confronted a teller, took $6,745 in cash, and fled in the ATV.
Bonneau crashed the ATV and was arrested.
Zuhlke was waiting to pick up Bonneau. He has pleaded guilty to aiding and abetting a bank robbery.
