A 21-year-old has been arrested in Omaha, accused of enticing a minor.
Omaha police had issued an arrest warrant earlier for Tyler Ziegler after investigating the complaint of a 13-year-old girl who stated a man approached her in a vehicle while she walked home from McMillan Middle School December 6th and attempted to get her to get into the car.
The girl reported the man pulled up along side her and yelled, “You need a ride? Get in the car.”
The girl said she said, “No” and began walked faster, running to Belvedere Elementary School where she reported the incident.
Police got a description of the man and his car. Officers began to patrol in the McMillan Middle School area after receiving other, similar reports.
A detective in an unmarked car noticed a vehicle which matched the description. An attempt to stop the car failed, but officers received enough information to issue an arrest warrant for Ziegler. Officers again observed the vehicle December 20th and arrested Ziegler who has been charged with two counts of lewd conduct and two counts of disturbing the peace.
