Creighton looks to make it two in a row at home in the Big East when the Blue Jays host St. John’s. Creighton is 1-1 in the league race while injuries have sidelined two of the top scorers for the Red Storm in an 0-2 start in conference play.
Creighton coach Greg McDermott says in a balanced conference race home games are even more important.
“When you are playing teams that are that good whether you are home or away it is going to be a challenge”, said McDermott. “You have to be ready and if you have one of those games where you don’t show up you are probably going to get beat. ”
Creighton is a perfect 9-0 at home, with eight double-digit victories, outscoring foes 96.2 – 65.6 in those contests in Omaha.
