Creighton erased a 10-point halftime deficit to beat St. John’s 78-71. The Bluejays improve to 2-1 in the BIG EAST.
Marcus Foster poured in 25 points as the Jays outscored the Red Storm 42-28 in the second half.
“Tonight we got out there and got it done in the second half”, said Foster. “We are going to need this down the stretch. You go down the list and everybody is a good team so we are going to have games like this again.”
Creighton improved to 12-3 overall with its 11th straight home victory, and are now 7-0 all-time at home against the Red Storm. St. John’s dropped to 10-5 with its third BIG EAST loss in as many games.
Creighton goes on the road to face Georgetown on Saturday, January 6 at 11 a.m. Central.
