That package falling from a flatbed trailer on Interstate 80 was filled with marijuana.
The Nebraska State Patrol reports troopers seized 122 pounds of high-grade marijuana after following-up on a traveler’s report of that falling package.
According to NSP, a citizen reported a package fell from a flatbed trailer pulled by a pick-up traveling east on I-80 near Odessa Friday afternoon. One trooper located found the pick-up and pulled it over. Another trooper recovered the package.
The package was filled with marijuana.
Troopers searched the trailer, discovering a hidden compartment on the undercarriage which contained dozens more packages. Troopers seized 122 pounds of high-grade marijuana with an estimated street value of $366,000.
The driver, 48-year-old Charlie Red of Colorado, and his passenger, 29-year-old Damaisy Rodriquez of Florida, face several charges including possession of marijuana with the intent to sell it. Both are jailed in Buffalo County.
