State conservation officials hope the public can help discover who illegally dumped waterfowl in western Nebraska.
The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission reports the carcasses of 52 Canada geese and 33 ducks were found in a waterway southwest of Melbeta in Scotts Bluff County late last week. It was reported to Game and Parks officials over the weekend.
No attempt was made to salvage any of the meat on the birds. Those who intentionally abandon edible portions of game or fail to dispose of game in a reasonable and sanitary manner commits wanton waste.
