A tip about a large shipment of drugs being transported through Nebraska led to a drug bust in which state troopers seized nearly 40 pounds of methamphetamine on Interstate 80.
The Nebraska State Patrol reports the seizure took place earlier this week at the Alda exit on I-80.
NSP and the Central Nebraska Drug and Safe Streets Task Force acted on the tip, seized 37 pounds of meth worth an estimated $829,000, and arrested two California men, 26-year-old Javier Reynosa-Flores and 27-year-old Jorge Montellano. Both have been charged with possession of methamphetamine with the intent to sell it. They have been jailed in Hall County.
A third man was questioned but released. He remains a person of interest as the investigation continues.
