Evangelist Billy Graham died of natural causes at his home in Montreat, North Carolina this morning.
Graham was 99.
Omaha’s Westside Church Pastor Curt Dodd says Graham leaves behind a massive legacy.
Pastor Dodd says, “I was in the 8th grade living outside Houston, Texas and he came and did a crusade at the Astrodome. I remember walking down the aisle and walking out onto the field responding to that invitation because I heard the Gospel so clearly.” He goes on to say that Graham’s life is one big legacy pointing people to Christ. People from around the world had been blessed by him.
Graham was known as “America’s Pastor” and met with every president from Harry Truman to Barack Obama and took his message to 185 countries around the world.
Funeral services are pending. Graham will be laid to rest at the Billy Graham Library in Charlotte, North Carolina next to his wife, Ruth who died in 2007.
