Vice President Mike Pence will pay a visit to Nebraska today.
Pence speaks this afternoon at Council Bluffs, Iowa. The vice president then will cross the Missouri River and headline a fund-raised for Gov. Pete Ricketts as well as Nebraska Republicans.
Pence is touring the country courtesy of America First Policies, a non-profit organization created to promote the agenda of President Donald Trump. He has made stops in Pittsburgh, Dallas, and Detroit.
Pence is expected to promote the benefits of the tax overhaul package approved by the Republican Congress, which Trump signed into law at the end of last year.
The fundraiser for Ricketts will be held this evening at the downtown Omaha Marriott. Pence also is expected to raise money for the re-election of Congressman Don Bacon, expected to face a difficult re-election bid this November.
