Former Husker commit and York defensive tackle Masry Mapieu has committed to Louisiana-Lafayette. York head coach Glen Snodgrass first reported the news to HuskerOnline Wednesday morning.
Mapieu initially committed to Nebraska in June of 2016, decommitted last month, and then signed with Iowa Western Community College on National Signing Day.
However, a player who signs a letter of intent at a junior college can still switch to a D-1 program before enrolling without penalty.
Mapieu took a visit to Lafayette this past weekend, and signed his National Letter of Intent for the Rajun’ Cajuns on Wednesday.
