Omaha police identified the motorcyclist killed in a morning accident at 32nd and Q Street.
At 6:41 a.m., a Honda CBR motorcycle was eastbound on Q. A 2001 Ford Explorer was northbound on 32nd Street. The SUV ran a stop sign and pulled into the path of the motorcycle. The motorcyclist, identified as 31 year old Juan Moreno-Tamayo, ended up underneath the SUV. That driver then fled the scene after running over the motorcycle and Moreno-Tamayo. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Witnesses were able to get the license plate number of the SUV and it is registered to Luis Velasquez-Orbiz, who lives on South 32rd Street. So far no arrests have been made. They continue to look for the driver and the SUV that has damage to the driver’s side.
