A Georgia man has been arrested on drug charges after a state trooper stopped his vehicle driving on Interstate 80 through Lincoln.
The Nebraska State Patrol reports 32-year-old Tzeghai Sayetu-Hazell of East Point, Georgia, is jailed in Lincoln on charges of possession with the intent to sell marijuana.
NSP says the trooper seized more than 100 pounds of marijuana after pulling the sports utility vehicle over Monday morning on I-80 in Lincoln. NSP reports the trooper smelled the odor of marijuana, searched the SUV, and found several duffel bags filled with vacuum sealed packages containing marijuana.
The total take, according to NSP, was 114 pounds of marijuana with an estimated street value of $342,000. The trooper also seized two dextroamphetamine pills.
