One of the best science fiction thrillers ever made will be back on the big screen for one night only. Movie historian and organizer of the Omaha Classic Movie Event Bruce Crawford made the announcement and the 1979 hit Alien will be shown at the Joslyn Art Museum on May 25th.
Crawford says, “I’ve told people that if Alfred Hitchcock ever made a science fiction thriller it would have been the film. You don’t see much of anything. It is low-key and very dark and it is the surprise. The famous chest busting scene shocked everybody.”
The special guest for the evening will be Alien star Veronica Cartwright who will speak before the event and tell stories of the making of the film.
Tickets are on now on sale now at all Omaha area Hy-Vee stores. Tickets run $24 and this is a benefit for the Nebraska Kidney Association.
