Nebraska State Troopers arrested two people during a traffic stop on Interstate 80 after they found 263 pounds of marijuana.
It happened Wednesday afternoon in Lincoln when a trooper pulled over a Ford F250 flatbed pickup for following behind a vehicle too closely.
A drug-sniffing K9 indicated drugs were present and a search found 263 pounds of sealed packages hidden inside a large compartment in the flatbed. The estimated street value of the marijuana is $657,000.
Courtney Passiglia of Columbia, Missouri, and passenger, James Conry of Brookfield, Illinois, were both arrested for possession of marijuana with intent to deliver and are being held at the Lancaster County Jail.
