The Omaha Fire Department Dive Team were called to Zorinsky Lake at 156th and F Streets this morning after an SUV was found in the water near the boat ramp. Battalion Chief John Kohlbek says the vehicle had slipped out of gear and rolled into the water.
Kohlbek says, “Our dive team came here to double check. To make sure there was nothing suspicious in the water. It wasn’t very deep it all and it was good training.”
Kohlbek says the driver was out of the vehicle when it rolled into the water around 1 a.m. He told police he thought he had put the parking brake on.
The SUV was pulled out of the water this morning.
