One person died, another was rushed to the hospital after a small plane crashed just short of the Millard Airport runway on the outskirts of Omaha Sunday morning.
Authorities have not identified the victims of the crash.
The plane has been identified as a 1962 Beechcraft Bonanza P35, registered to an Omaha address.
Investigators with the Omaha Airport Authority, the Omaha Police Department, and the Federal Aviation Administration arrived on the scene Sunday. The airport, located just off I-80, closed to all air traffic until Sunday evening.
The last fatal crash at the Millard Airport was in December 2005, when three people died when a plane crash shortly after takeoff.
