Omaha police have issued a felony warrant for a 21-year-old suspected of leaving the scene of a fatal crash which took the life of a two-year-old.
The Omaha Police Department has issued a warrant for Davionne Collier of Omaha for leaving the scene of an injury accident resulting in death, willful reckless driving, and driving under suspension.
Collier is suspected of leaving the scene of the crash Monday in Omaha that critically injured Devon Morris. Devon suffered head and chest injuries. Devon was rushed to a local hospital but died the next day.
Collier is described as a black male, 6 feet 1 inch tall, 190 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.
Witnesses at the scene of the wreck report a sport utility vehicle ran a red light and crashed into the vehicle in which Devon was riding, unrestrained. Two others in the car suffered injuries. Witnesses say the driver of the SUV and a passenger fled the scene on foot. Police report it appears the SUV was speeding.
