Arizona Western’s Desmond Bland announced on Twitter Friday afternoon that he is coming to play football at Nebraska.
Bland is the second transfer to pledge the Huskers on Friday. Only hours before, Utah defensive lineman and grad transfer Vaha Vainuku announced that he was also coming to play for Scott Frost.
At 6-foot-4 and 300 pounds, Bland is a three-star guard, according to 247 Sports. He had 11 scholarship offers in total, from schools like Central Florida, Arizona, Iowa State, Kansas State and more.
Bland is the third Husker to come from Arizona Western in 2018, joining running back Greg Bell and receiver Jaron Woodyard.
