A 37-year-old Omaha man suspected of driving drunk has been charged with motor vehicle homicide stemming from a fatal crash May 28th.
Kou Yang has been accused of driving drunk when his car overturned near 182nd and Blondo Streets on the afternoon of the 28th. Investigators say Yang had a blood-alcohol content of .261.
A passenger in Yang’s car, 51-year-old Todd Dovel of Omaha, died from injuries in the wreck.
Witnesses told police the car was driving east on Blondo Street. The car began to fishtail after speeding up. It ran off the road and into a field. The car overturned several times.
