A 25-year-old Omaha man has been sentenced to more than five years in prison for three bank robberies.
The United States Attorney’s office reports Wayne Rolling has been sentenced to five years and four months in federal prison. Once he completes his prison term, Rolling will be placed on supervised release for three years. He has been ordered to make restitution.
Federal prosecutors say Rolling robbed three financial institutions in the same week in November of last year. All three, two SAC Federal Credit Union locations and a First National Bank of Omaha branch, were located in Hy-Vee stores in Omaha. Rolling was unarmed in all the robberies, but passed demand notes on to the tellers.
