A western Nebraska sheriff’s deputy has been arrested on charges of child abuse and strangulation.
The Nebraska State Patrol reports Deputy Chris Henry with the Sheridan County Sheriff’s Office in the Panhandle was arrested in wake of an incident which occurred on Tuesday. NSP reports the victim has been taken to a local hospital and appears in good health.
Authorities took Henry to Chadron where he is being held in the Dawes County Jail.
NSP says the investigation continues. No details on the case are being released.
