A Lincoln man has been sentenced to eight years in federal prison for distributing child pornography after he recorded his sexual relationship with a minor.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office reports 38-year-old Matthew Rouse pleaded guilty to one count of distribution of child pornography in March. He must serve five years of supervised release after serving his time in prison.
Rouse, a sergeant with the Nebraska Army National Guard, admitted to making a video recording of his sexual encounter with a 16-year-old high school student from Omaha. Rouse took video with his phone and sent it to her over the Internet. The Nebraska State Patrol arrested Rouse on state charges. He was indicted in federal court shortly thereafter.
