An 87-year-old Omaha woman has been killed after running a red light and crashing into another vehicle.
The Omaha Police Department reports Carol Sieborg was driving north on 72nd Street late Sunday morning when she ran a red light at the intersection with Sorensen Parkway. Sieborg ran into a sport utility vehicle driving through the intersection.
Omaha Fire Department medics rushed Sieborg to Nebraska Medicine where she was pronounced dead.
Omaha police report that neither excessive speed nor alcohol are suspected as factors in the fatal crash.
The driver of the SUV was not injured, according to police.
