A 49-year-old man struck by a vehicle while crossing an Omaha street has died of his injuries.
The Omaha Police Department reports Michael Hodd of Omaha died at Nebraska Medicine, where he was being treated for chest injuries suffered in the accident on July the 3rd.
Police report Hodd was crossing Park Avenue late that evening when he was struck by a sport utility vehicle. Hodd was not in a marked crosswalk. Omaha Fire Department medics rushed Hodd, who suffered a chest injury, to Nebraska Medicine.
The driver of the SUV, 40-year-old John Flowers of Omaha, was not injured.
The investigation continues.
