A Nebraska Intelligence agency operation leads to the arrest of two people charged with counterfeiting out of a Southern Nebraska home.
The Nebraska State Patrol reports investigators with the Western Nebraska Intelligence and Narcotics Task Force began an investigation into a counterfeiting operation in Sidney after an NSP trooper received a tip.
WING investigators executed a search warrant at a residence on the 2400 block of 11th Ave in Sidney on July 5. During the operation, investigators found several items used to make counterfeit money.
32 year-old Christopher Humphries, of Denver, Colorado, and 31-year-old Jaclyn Greer-Humphries, of Ft. Collins, Colorado were arrested for first degree forgery and possession of criminal devices. During the arrest, Christopher Humphries threatened law enforcement officers, adding a charge of making terroristic threats against an officer.
Both were lodged in Cheyenne County Jail.
