A rural Lincoln woman has died after two pick-ups collided at an intersection in Lancaster County Friday night.
The Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office reports the preliminary investigation indicates the driver of a 2015 Chevrolet Silverado failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection of Southwest 40th and West A Street. The driver, 25-year-old Matthew Werner of Lincoln, crashed into the side of the other pick-up, a 1993 Chevrolet 1500. A passenger in the 1993 Chevy, 54-year-old Rhondi Lovelace, died at the scene.
The driver of the 1993 Chevy, Reginal Wyman of Fremont, was treated and released at a local hospital.
The sheriff’s office reports Werner and a passenger in his pick-up declined medical treatment.
The investigation into the crash continues.
