The no vacancy sign is always out at Omaha’s Ronald McDonald House. They are currently at capacity and can serve only 20 families of children receiving treatment at metro area hospitals. The wait list continues to grow so construction is underway to expand the facility to house 40 families.
The new additions will include a chapel, classrooms for children and a treatment center in the facility.
Volunteers play a vital role in the operation of the house. They will need to nearly double the number of volunteers to adequately serve the families seeking housing during a very difficult time. Those who would like more information are asked to call 402-346-9377 for details.
