A motorcyclist injured after losing control of his bike on Interstate 480 in east Omaha late Thursday afternoon has died of his injuries.
Omaha police identify the victim as 45-year-old Bill Pyle of Omaha.
According to the police report, Pyle was riding south on I-480 when the motorcycle left the interstate, crossed a grass median, then crossed the on-ramp to 30th Street, overturning on the grass embankment. Omaha Fire Department medics rushed Pyle to Nebraska Medicine in serious condition, with chest and arm injuries.
Pyle died later at the hospital.
An autopsy has been ordered. The investigation continues.
