Douglas County Sheriff’s Office reports that a highly intoxicated man forced two Elkhorn schools into lockdown Thursday.
The man first went to a middle school to pick up his child. He was told his son didn’t go there. Officials with that school called a nearby elementary school giving them a heads-up of what to expect. When the man arrived at that school, he was met by the principal and was again told his son didn’t attend that school. Officials had already called 911 and luckily he had not left the parking lot by the time deputies arrived.
Captain Wayne Hudson says, “I’m just glad that he went to the wrong school because my fear is had he gone to the correct school and picked up his child, he might have been involved in a motor vehicle accident.”
The man was given a breathalyzer test and he blew a .320, four times the legal limit. He was then cited for aggressive DUI.
